    Q1. What is CCNSG? 
    The CCNSG Safety Passport is a nationally recognised health and safety qualification used across sectors such as construction, engineering, industrial, power generation, oil, gas, and other related environments. It is intended to support safer working by helping individuals understand site risks and responsibilities.

    Client Contractor National Safety Group.

    Q3. Who runs CCNSG training? 
    CCNSG training is administered by the Engineering Construction Training Board (ECITB) and delivered by approved training providers, including HSS Training.

    About the Course 

    Q4. What is the CCNSG Safety Passport course?
    The course is intended to introduce key health and safety principles, including site hazards, legal responsibilities, and safe systems of work. It's commonly required for access to industrial and engineering sites.

    Q5. What’s the difference between the Safety Passport and Renewal Course? 
    The 2-day Safety Passport is for new delegates. The 1-day Renewal course is for those with a valid or due to expire CCNSG passport who need to extend it for a further 3 years.

    Who Should Attend 

    Q6. Who is this course for? 
    Contractors, site operatives, supervisors, maintenance teams and anyone working in engineering, or higher risk industrial settings such as oil refineries, power stations or chemical plants.

    Q7. Are there any entry requirements?
    There are no formal entry requirements for the course. All delegates are required to have a competent understanding of written and spoken English.

    How the Training Works 

    Q8. How is the course delivered? 
    Training is delivered in a classroom environment by one of our approved trainers, using presentations, discussions and real-world site examples.

    Q9. What should I bring on the day?
    Please bring valid photo ID and your National Insurance Number. The course may require PPE and supporting documentation such as forms or declarations. You’ll receive full details after your booking is confirmed.

    Q10. Is lunch provided? 
    Lunch is not provided so delegates are advised to bring their own lunch or make use of nearby facilities. Training centres are equipped with a kettle, microwave and fridge if needed.

    Q11. Is there parking available at the training centre? 
    Most of our training venues offer free on-site parking, although spaces may be limited. You’ll receive full parking details, including What3Words navigation, once your booking is confirmed. Alternatively, you can find parking availability and other venue details on our Training Centres information page

    Assessments & Certification 

    Q12. How is the course assessed? 
    Assessment is completed through 80 multi-choice questions covering all the topics in the syllabus.

    Successful delegates receive a CCNSG Safety Passport card, valid for 3 years. Cards are issued by ECITB and sent after successful course completion.
