Course modules cover:
- Directives, Legislation and Standards
- Characteristics of Dusts
- Area Classification BSEN 60079-10-2
- Concept of Dust Ignition Protection
- Concepts of Protection for use in Dust Atmospheres
- Selection & Installation of Equipment (Non-IS & IS)
- General Requirement for Zones 20, 21 and 22
- Wiring Systems and Glanding (Non-IS & IS)
- Inspection, & Testing of Electrical Equipment (Non-IS & IS)
Delegates will be competent electrical and/or instrument craft personal with experience of electrical installation work such as cable glanding, continuity and insulation resistance testing. Existing knowledge of Hazardous Area requirements would be beneficial.
All delegates must provide photographic identification and suitable evidence to prove competency. This may be in the form of certification or letter from your employer, alternatively you can provide a JIB Gold card.
