No formal qualifications or experience are needed, but delegates must have a good understanding of written and spoken English to complete the theory assessment. For additional support, please refer to Q13.

How the Training Works
Q7. How is the training delivered?
This is a classroom-based theory course led by a qualified Ladder Association HSS Trainer. It includes interactive presentations, discussions, and group exercises aiming to help managers apply what they learn in real workplace situations.

Q8. What should I bring on the day?
Please bring valid photo ID such as a passport, driving licence, or CSCS card. Delegates are also encouraged to bring their own lunch as this is not provided. Complimentary tea and coffee are available and your trainer can suggest nearby dining options if needed.
As this is a classroom-based theory course, PPE is not normally required. However, if access to your classroom is via one of our live operational sites, you’ll need full PPE to maintain site compliance and access your training room: safety boots, hi-vis vest/jacket, hard hat (preferably with a chin strap), protective gloves, eye protection, a long-sleeve top and trousers (shorts are not permitted).
