    Course Details

    Product number: PASMA_ELEARN_lo|3792

To provide delegates with an understanding of current relevant legislation and be able to assemble, use and dismantle low level access units (prefabricated units under 2.5m of height) safely, as per the manufacturer's instructions.

Completing the e-learning alone does not qualify you as a tower user; industry standards require both the knowledge gained in the e-learning theory session and assessed assembly and use of the equipment to demonstrate proficiency. Once you have completed the e-learning, you must also complete the practical assessment and testing at a PASMA approved HSS Training centre. On successful achievement, of all three parts, we will apply for your PASMA Certification and ID Card.
Please note: The e-learning module must be completed within 6 months of the date of booking
To take advantage of this, please follow the below steps:
    1. Get in touch with us on 0345 605 0006 or click below to book - at this time you will be charged the full course cost
    2. Complete the theory e-learning module which can be done anytime, anywhere and on any device, at a pace which suits you (compatible with PCs, Macs, tablets and smartphones on any modern internet browser)
    3. Once you have completed and successfully passed the e-learning, please contact us to book your practical training and assessment at one of our PASMA approved centres - you will be asked to provide evidence of successful completion of the e-learning certificate which is created / printed at the end of your e-learning
    4. Delegates are required to attend an HSS Training PASMA approved training centre within 90 days of completing the e-learning module to sit their theory exam and undertake practical training and assessment [this has been temporarily increased due to Covid-19]
    5. You will need to bring a copy of your ‘certificate of completion’ to the course for the trainer to verify, without this you will be refused entry
    6. Upon entry to the course, you will be asked to complete an open book multiple choice questionnaire which is based on the knowledge gained from the e-learning. This will be followed by a practical training and assessment session, with the duration dependent upon knowledge and experience
To find the next available date at a centre near you, please contact us on 0345 605 0006 or email training@hss.com.

Having completed the e-learning theory module, delegates will be issued with a 'certificate of completion'.  Delegates will then need to contact HSS Training to sit their theory exam and undertake practical training and assessment in one of our training centres within 90 days of completing the e-learning module.  The follow up event is a half day face to face session with practical training and assessment.

To find the next available date at a centre near you, please contact us on 0345 605 0006 or email training@hss.com.

All delegates will still be expected to complete a theory test when they arrive at a training centre to verify that they have the knowledge to continue to the practical element of the course.  Delegates will be required to bring their e-learning 'certificate of completion' with them on the day.

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a Digital PASMA Certification and ID Card (valid for 5 years).

PASMA - Low Level Access for Users (E-Learning) Course FAQs.

    About PASMA

    Q1. What is PASMA training?
Mobile Access towers are portable, prefabricated structures used to safely work at height. PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers Association) provides nationally accredited training for mobile access towers. PASMA training aims to help delegates understand safe assembly, use and inspection of these towers, supporting compliance with industry health and safety requirements.
    _________________________________________________________________________________

Q2. What is the PASMA Low Level Access for Users course?
The half-day course aims to teach delegates how to safely assemble, use, move, inspect, and dismantle low-level access equipment such as podium steps and folding room scaffolds. Designed for work at heights below 2.5 metres, it combines theory and practical training to promote safe practices when using low-level work platforms.
    _________________________________________________________________________________

Q3. What is the PASMA e-learning module?
The e-learning theory module covers the theory component of the PASMA Low Level Access for Users course, including key safety principles, legislation, risk management and best practices. You must complete it before attending the practical session.
    _________________________________________________________________________________

Q4. Is PASMA a legal requirement?
Under the Work at Height Regulations, employers have a legal responsibility to ensure delegates who assemble or use low level access equipment are properly trained and compliant. PASMA certification is widely recognised as the industry standard for demonstrating this compliance and is often a mandatory requirement on construction sites.
    _________________________________________________________________________________

Q5. Is PASMA training valid internationally?
PASMA certification is UK-based and widely recognised across Europe. However, some countries may require additional country-specific training. Please refer to the PASMA website for additional guidance.
